This category focuses on moose sculptures. The moose is an iconic symbol of North America and a fascinating subject to study—large and imposing, yet built on a lanky framework. These sculptures are crafted from a mix of new and reclaimed materials, with over 90% being repurposed. They may be constructed with or without wood, and each piece varies in scale, designed specifically for indoor display.
Development
Creating moose sculptures has always presented a challenge, particularly in capturing the grace and majesty of their movement. Moose III was the first piece to incorporate copper into the antlers and throughout the body—a technique I look forward to exploring further.
