Concept:
This category is dedicated to showcase masks that do not belong to a specific series.
I have always been drawn to masks and find them an intriguing subject matter to explore. I'm fascinated by the cultural and historical use of masks - the purpose of hiding one's identity, providing entertainment or perhaps to ward off evil to name a few. The masks are able to achieve these desired effects by harnessing a vast range of facial expressions. It is through this that I have been able to experiment with new ideas that could potentially become a precursor to a new series.
Development:
When creating an independent mask, there are a variety of factors which influence the outcome. These factors range from applying new techniques/skill/equipment to setting parameters on the types of materials/complexity used in the process. An independent mask is not tethered to a specific series and ultimately doesn't follow a sequential path. This provides me with an opportunity to explore a variety of disparate ideas.

A new mask is currently in development and scheduled to be finished in 2023.
